Timescapes Limited, a company registered in New Zealand under company number 1126548 and its subsidaries (we, us, our or Timescapes) provides high-resolution visual project tracking and time-lapse services.
This privacy policy tells you what information we collect, why we collect your information, the steps we take to protect it, the circumstances in which we may share your information, and how you can contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
This privacy policy is effective 1 July 2025. When you use our Services via the Platform you agree to the terms of our privacy policy and our Terms of Use.

Each time you visit our Platform we automatically collect information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, browser type, browser language, information about your device type, operating systems and type of operating system (e.g. iOS or Android), cookies, and the pages you request.
As part of our services offering, we may collect information in the form of images (Image Information).
You have the option of remaining anonymous when dealing with us in relation to a particular matter, or not disclosing personal information to us. You also have the option of requesting to engage with us using a pseudonym. However, if you choose to engage with us in this way, it may mean that we will not be able to provide our services or respond to you appropriately in light of the nature of our business.
Our Platform uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (Google). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help us analyse how users use the Platform.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Platform (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the Platform, compile reports on Platform activity for us and provide other services relating to Platform activity and internet usage.

We use third-party analytics provider, Mixpanel, to grow our business, improve and develop our Services, monitor and analyse the use of our Services, aid our technical administration, increase the functionality and user-friendliness of our Services, and verify that Users have provided the authorisation we need to process User requests.
These analytics services may collect and retain anonymised information about you.
You can opt-out of Mixpanel’s automatic retention of data collected while using the Services by visiting https://mixpanel.com/optout/. If you get a new computer, install a new browser, or erase or otherwise alter your browser’s cookie file (including upgrading certain browsers), you may clear the Mixpanel opt-out cookie, and you will need to re-visit the opt-out page.
Note that Mixpanel’s opt-out cookies will not stop us from sending other data about you from our servers to Mixpanel, nor will it prevent any other data collection methods.

Please note that if you opt-out of receiving marketing-related emails from us, we may still send you important administrative messages that we are required to provide you in connection with the Services and in accordance with the applicable laws.
We retain your personal information for as long as you have an Account or for so long as it is needed to be able to provide our Services.
If your Account is terminated we will delete your personal information unless it is necessary or required to meet legal or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, or to prevent fraud or abuse.
The images/video taken while providing Services may be kept and used by us for promotional purposes. Any images/video we use for such purposes will be in a form in which the individuals cannot be identified.
The security of your personal information is important to us. We use physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information. All information we collect and which is uploaded to the Platform is stored with Amazon Web Services, Inc.
No data transmissions over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Consequently, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make reasonable efforts to ensure security on our systems.
You are also responsible for helping to protect the security of your personal information. For instance, never give out your password, and safeguard your user name and password when you are using the Services. You are responsible for maintaining the security of any device on which you access the Services.
You may update your Account personal information by logging on to the Project Portal. Subject to certain grounds for refusal as set out in applicable privacy legislation, you have the right to request confirmation from us that we hold personal information about you and a copy of such personal information. Depending on the size of the request we may charge a fee covering the actual costs of the copy. We will advise in advance of the fee and may require a deposit for the same.
You are also entitled to request the correction of the information we hold about you. If you would like to exercise either of these rights, please contact us at privacy@timescapes.co. You should provide evidence of who you are and the details of your request (e.g. the personal information, or the correction, that you are requesting).
We reserve the right to refuse to provide you with information that we hold about you or to correct your personal information, in certain circumstances as provided for in applicable laws. This may include if we have reason to believe you are not authorised to receive or correct information, or if we are unable to verify your identity.
If we believe there has been a privacy breach, we will promptly identify the issues and take steps to minimise any harm. We will contact the relevant authority as required by law if we believe the breach has caused, or is likely to cause, serious harm. We may also contact the individuals who may be affected.
If you believe there has been a privacy breach affecting you, please contact us using the contact details below in section 15 as soon as possible.
We may revise, modify or update this privacy policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your Account or by placing a prominent notice on our Site prior to the change becoming effective.

What this addendum covers
This US Addendum to the Timescapes Privacy Policy (“Addendum,” and together with the Privacy Policy, the “Privacy Terms”) attaches to and supplements the Timescapes Privacy Policy as applicable to persons operating under the laws and jurisdiction of the United States (“Applicable Law”). Except as otherwise provided in this Addendum, its provisions are in addition to—and do not replace—the terms of the Privacy Policy. However, in the event of any conflict between the Privacy Policy and this Addendum, the terms of this Addendum shall control.

We currently do not recognize or respond to browser-initiated “Do Not Track” signals, as the internet industry is still developing standards and solutions for these signals.

Pages of our Site and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, or single-pixel gifs). These enable Timescapes to count users who have visited those pages or opened emails, and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain content and verifying system and server integrity).

If you have been given or have chosen a password for access to certain parts of our Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.

Depending on the sensitivity of the information and legal requirements, we may request additional proof of identity.
